Design House Agency, a full-service boutique digital agency located in Coral Gables, won an award of excellence for digital redesign of Florida International University’s alumni website at CASE on February 18th, 2015.

The FIU Alumni Association is very proud of the UI/UX design, user-friendly navigation, and robust interactive features.” writes the association.
CASE District III awarded Design House for it’s technical expertise, usability, and creativity. Design House built the website from the ground up, “We wanted to create a UI/UX design that was user-friendly, engaging and contemporary” said Ms. Gretel Vinas, founder and Digital Creative Director /Front-End developer for Design House.
The site is dynamic and eye-catching and maintains accessibility. Ease of accessibility is key to the site’s success. The FIU alumni website is mobile responsive for mobile and tablet devices. Liz Rodriguez, Design House’s Digital Strategist and Account Manager, states that the the page load time was very important for search engine optimization and that was a major focus for the team to optimize by reducing the use of jquery and compressing images to help prevent heavy load times.
The Design House team didn’t stop at building the site. The digital agency continues to update and monitor the newly redesigned website.
