When does your project require a marketing consultant?

by Liz Rodriguez, April 15, 2012

Do you have a great idea but just don’t know how to execute it? Do you have a Facebook-like concept but you don’t know how much it will cost to get it off the ground? Often times, setting up an appointment with a marketing consultant is crucial in organizing your ideas, budget and preparing a plan of action.

Always make sure you meet with an attorney and develop a basic Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) to ensure your idea is secure. Next, meet with the professionals and let their expertise show you some options. Other benefits of meeting with marketing consultant allow you to put things into perspective. You either realize if your concept (a) has already been invented, or (b) the budget to develop it requires investors.

Developing a plan of action is essential when you have a great idea. Research is key. Make sure to investigate as much as possible before setting up a meeting. Often times, your idea has already been created, but that does not mean you can’t be inspired by it and put your own spin on it. In fact, that’s pretty common.

Most importantly, don’t let anyone discourage you. If you really believe in your concept, follow your heart and have passion.
